SA too steady for WA 18s
There were high hopes for Western Australia in the 2014 AFL Under -18 Championships but the campaign started poorly and got much worse. Another heart-stopper for FIDA Tigers
The Tigers’ hearts must be made of stern stuff. In Round 1 the seniors lost at home to Williamstown by a point when the Seagulls goaled on the siren. A few weeks later the reserves defeated Williamstown in an away game by seven points in a thriller. Last Sunday the seniors played a heart-thumping draw at home against Kananook.

Hawks sneak home, deny Magpies first win
MARYBOROUGH came within a whisker of registering their first win of the 2014 season at Eaglehawk’s Canterbury Park on Saturday.
In the end a match-sealing last quarter major 25 minutes in from Eaglehawks’ Wade Minter, playing his ninth senior game, handed the home side a nine-point victory.
