MARYBOROUGH came within a whisker of registering their first win of the 2014 season at Eaglehawk’s Canterbury Park on Saturday.
In the end a match-sealing last quarter major 25 minutes in from Eaglehawks’ Wade Minter, playing his ninth senior game, handed the home side a nine-point victory.
The representative game between the Western Australian Football League and the North East Australian Football League was played in perfect conditions at Blacktown Oval in Sydney on Saturday and provided plenty of highlights.
