Strathfieldsaye’s Lachlan Sharp on Saturday displayed the sort of form which won him 2017’s best player Michelsen and Ron Best goalkicking medals. He booted 12 majors in the Storm’s 134-point demolition of Kyneton yet according to his coach, Troy Coates, he could have posted a bit more than a dozen. “Sharpy finished with 12.7 so he should have kicked a few more,” said the coach. And the spearhead wasn’t the only Storm player celebrating hard on Saturday night.
