Strathfieldsaye’s Lachlan Sharp on Saturday displayed the sort of form which won him 2017’s best player Michelsen and Ron Best goalkicking medals. He booted 12 majors in the Storm’s 134-point demolition of Kyneton yet according to his coach, Troy Coates, he could have posted a bit more than a dozen. “Sharpy finished with 12.7 so he should have kicked a few more,” said the coach. And the spearhead wasn’t the only Storm player celebrating hard on Saturday night. Shannon Geary played his 150th match and apart from providing great drive from his half-back flank went forward in the final term and hammered home two goals. Continue reading
