In another interesting round in the WAFL Claremont and South Fremantle have jumped back into the top five at the expense of East Perth and Swan Districts. Meanwhile West Perth spiced up the competition even further by beating top team Subiaco.

WAFL tightens up
WAFL round seven…
It wasn’t a good set of games for tipsters but great for the competition in round seven of the WAFL. The major upset was South Fremantle over East Perth while Claremont brought up their first win of the season. It’s becoming clear that both alignment teams are vulnerable to the inevitable changes in their personnel while Perth appears to be the only team incapable of playing finals. Claremont are gathering their best line-up.

Peel arrive Perth off the mark
All the away teams won in round five of the WAFL and the competition is full of interest. Historians are at work as we speak trying to see if Peel have ever been second on the ladder before. I haven’t checked but can confidently say they haven’t.

Everyone’s a loser WAFL

South Fremantle’s round four loss means there are no unbeaten teams in the competition and the ladder has an interesting look about it. Peel Thunder are in the top four and East Perth, arguably the form team, are out of the top five. We also found out something about the much-heralded Channel Seven coverage of the WAFL – it’s not every week! No TV game this week or next.
