Shootin’ Through, the audiobook by Sean Gorman has been launched.
I haven’t listened to the story yet but here’s what I know. It’s set in late 1979. The world was good in 1979 according to Gorman before it went to shit with, among other crap, the coming of the West Coast Eagles. Shootin’ Through concerns a drive across the Nullarbor in a stolen Valiant Charger, destination the Sydney Opera House and 2SM Concert of the Decade – star attraction Steve Wright and Evie parts 1, 2 and 3.

Hey, I did some of that drive in 1979. In a Toyota Corolla that was mine. Destination Nuriootpa and a game of cricket for Corrigin against the locals. If the car had been stolen I might’ve had some adventures like Gorman’s characters Duck, Pinky and Missy.
The audiobook was given a nice push start by Glynn Greensmith and Gillian O’Shaughnessy at PS Art Space in Fremantle before being launched by David Whish-Wilson (he gets himself into ‘adventurous’ situations too).
The Shootin Through experience promises to be nostalgic so your job is to settle down, perhaps with your favourite beverage – illustration is a suggestion only – and listen to the bloody thing.

As someone you may know would say, ‘get on it!’ Here

There’s merch.
